Andree Putman

“Of course style and money have nothing to do with each other”

One of my great mentors and who inspired me very much, Andree Putmam has passed away this week. She made us look at Modernism with modernity and how more appropriate it is for contemporary life, saw the fussiness of too much Louis. She toned down palettes, saw the elegance in neutral colors. Her influence is wide and her legacy is profound.  I will miss her.

Spring Heart Home

The latest issue of Heart Home Magazine came out ten days ago, this weekend I had time to catch up on some reading and was delighted with page after page of loveliness.

This issue covers the freshness of Spring with articles and features on the clean look of modernism and Scandinavian design. A mid-century flat that mixes contemporary design in South London is the cover feature with other articles mixing floral prints and stripes, a peak in a stylists home, an interview with illustrator Rob Ryan and style themes on the Jubilee and many more on fashion and recipes. There is also a good article by Barbara Chandler on trends, which way they are going.

Take a few minutes to read about and see some lovely interiors in the Spring issue here.
